The Washington Post app has gotten much less user friendly lately. The new comments format is a complete disaster with the removal of the like button, addition of confusing "provocative", "thoughtful", etc buttons, no way to get back to the article when reading your comments and replies. it is also difficult to navigate to a particular section of the paper like Advice to read articles.

App opens with Top Stories (I can't say I don't want this). Half(!!!) of the screen is used for those four little "cards" that are useless.Today three (yes three) of them link to games that I can easily find via the games menu at the bottom of the screen. The most annoying, though, is when I get "continue reading" hints. I am well aware of what I've been reading and don't always want to read a whole article that has already repeated itself ad infinitum. I'm about done w/ WaPo altogether.

I am a daily user of this app. It has never crashed on me. I like that the app lets me save stories so I can access them whenever. Email notifications link up to the mentioned story, comments. The top stories section also includes hyperlinked thumbnails etc. for sections accessed frequently. I like this convenience. I believe I only read the Post through this app. The interface is user friendly. Only criticism is that the search feature doesn't bring up the latest stories in its results.
