tuner and metronome are great for practice. The tuner is chromatic and tells you the tone so you're not limited to standard tuning. The cheap guitar I'm using to learn has a bad nut so I downtune to E-flat and put a capo on the first fret and it makes it playable. Also the metronome is quite flexible and allows you to increase speed progressively during exercises. I haven't used the more elaborate accompanying patterns available, but I will and eventually get the paid app

I mainly use this app to track my practice time, and it's perfect for it. You can look back, how many times, how many hours did you practice in a week or month. Of course the tuner is also really good, because it detects the note, so you can tune in whatever note you want. I personally don't use the metronome, but I know that you can set the speed of it. One more thing that it has sheet music on it, which I also don't use, but not because it's bad. (Lastly, sorry for my english)

I like the metronome and LOVE that it can record you while the metronome is playing. The immidiet use I had for it was as a practice tool. It allows me to listen to how I keep time while playing. I's good to test that with a recording.
