About this game
Race for the Galaxy is a strategy boardgame where players advance their empire by playing cards to build technological developments or to settle planets. Its core mechanic is a phase choosing game. Players secretly and simultaneously determine which one of seven phases they will lock in, all reveal at once, then execute the phases in order. Will you build an engine to ramp up VP generation on cheapo production planets? Will you invest in exploration and settle rare and valuable VP rich planets? Or will you rush a military conquest to cut off your opponents before they have a chance to develop their strategy.

Love this game except a few things. Graphics is too gloomy and outdated. the UI isn't responsive, it doesn't fit nicely and has black margins on the left and right, why not take full advantage of the screen? Unnecessary slow animations. When long tapping cards to see their details, the zoom animation is too slow. For new players they need to read a lot and this quickly becomes irritating. Scoring system is confusing. When calculating it for some reason drops the scores and updates after.

Excellent app for the game with a couple bugs, but this has been in constant use for friendly multiplayer games for ages. Sometime in the last couple months push notifications for multiplayer have completely stopped, seemingly out of nowhere. I have scoured the app notification settings and reinstalled the app to no avail. Unfortunate because the game and app are otherwise both so good!

LOVE the game. The AI is great. Implementation of the game works very well most of the time. The UI is seriously lacking, though. Would love to see some way to track games played against others and maybe some way to communicate with other players. Why do I have to wait for others to take actions that are supposed to be done simultaneously. I have no idea what determines what order things are done. Also, for the amount of money spent on this app, it crashes unacceptably often, as do the online servers. Please update soon and often! This game is too good to be this frustrating.
